NoSCoS Award 2025
October 10, 2025

During the digital General Assembly in May 2023, we decided to create a ”NoSCoS Award” to acknowledge persons, groups, or organisations who have contributed to improve the well-being of persons with spinal cord injury and disease and their close ones in the Nordic countries throughout life.

Why?

The NoSCoS Society would like to acknowledge persons groups, or organisations who have contributed to improve the well-being of persons with spinal cord injury and disease and their close ones in the Nordic countries throughout life. The NoSCoS Award consists of a diploma.

Who?

Persons, clinics, colleagues, healthcare professionals, societies, persons with lived experience can nominate a person, group or organisation. Persons, groups or organisations cannot nominate themselves.

Eligibility
Persons, groups or organisations who through their work and/or actions have contributed substantially to improve the well-being of persons with spinal cord injury and disease and their close ones in the Nordic countries throughout life are eligible. The work or contribution can be e.g.interventions or projects which make a difference to the well-being of persons living with a spinal cord injury or disease. In this context well-being is defined as a broader term and must have been registered in a broader group of persons – not just one person or a few individuals.

The person or a representative from the group or organisation should be willing to give a talk at the NoSCoS Conference.

How?

If persons, clinics, colleagues, healthcare professionals, societies, persons with lived experience would like to nominate a person, group or organisation for the “NoSCoS Award” it should be done by stating how the person, group or organisation has or have contributed to improve the well-being of persons with spinal cord injury and disease and their close ones in the Nordic countries throughout life. The statement should be sent to the NoSCoS Board. The NoSCoS Board will choose between the nominated persons/groups/organisations.

Send the nomination to: info@noscos.org no later than 16th of April.

When?

The recipient of the NoSCoS award will receive notice approximately 20 weeks before the coming scientific meeting.
