Dear friends in NoSCoS,

The NoSCoS board has just had a very productive meeting in Stockholm – LIVE for the first time in more than two years. So exciting. Now even the LIVE 2022 NoSCoS conferen in Stockholm is rapidly approaching. 320 participants have already registered and we are looking forward to seeing many of you in real life again very soon. Apart from stimulating scientific and professional input, we will have a General Assembly (GA) during which we want to approach a number of important issues for the future of NoSCoS as an organisation. During the digital GA we held in 2021 we decided to implement the membership structure that would include both individual and professional membership. It will now be time to implement those changes and the NoSCoS board would like to present proposals concerning this implementation process. More information will be sent out in time for the GA.

Furthermore we will have to make some completing elections. Two members of the board have announced that they will leave their posts. Britta Gnutzmann Quistgaard, and Anne Beate Melheim. Britta has acted as a board member for three years, while Anne Beate has been a board member/consumer representative for five years. To assure relevant representation regarding professional background and countries we would like to encourage a physiotherapist, psychologist or social worker from a Danish primary SCI rehab unit to run for board member. Furthermore we would like to encourage the Nordic consumer organisations to nominate a new consumer representative. As the announcements were made relatively late, the board has decided to extend the nomination period until 7th of April 2022.

Nominations/candidatures including a short presentation of the candidate should be communicated to the NoSCoS secretary nora.sandholdt@regionostergotland.se
